Whenever you ask someone what they like to pair milk with, the answers usually are a range of sweet stuff like cookies, pies, cakes, and more. I know in my household, my daughter’s usual lunch is a PB&J sandwich, topped off with a tall, delicious glass of cold milk. For myself, memories of eating alfajores (Peruvian cookies) while drinking milk and watching El Chavo Del Ocho with my grandparents come flooding back anytime I think about enjoying milk. But, as it turns out, you can pair milk with so much more than just sweets!

I visited a Vallarta Supermarket recently, where there was a fun El Chavo y Toma Leche event going on.

Vallarta is a busy supermarket, so people were constantly stopping by and experiencing what it was like to pair a Torta de Jamon with a cold glass of milk. Most people were pretty amazed and surprised at how well a savory snack went with milk. After they tasted the pairing, they got a chance to take a photo in front of the standee with characters from El Chavo Del Ocho for a chance to win $200!
